Boot Scoot
Created for the 75th Anniversary of Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, 75 (plus many extras) six-foot tall decorated boots scooted across Houston. Local artists, school children and community groups brought to life each with themes celebrating the Rodeo, Houston landmarks and history, and all things Texan.
Bob implemented all aspects of this project from selecting the boot vendor, creating marketing and fundraising collateral, training volunteers and soliciting businesses, corporations and foundations.
Boots were displayed on the Rodeo’s fair grounds at NRG Park, Eleanor Tinsley Park in downtown Houston, Bush Intercontinental Airport and other parks and landmarks around the metropolitan area.
The project grossed more than $250,000 to support The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Educational Fund.
The Boot Scoot received national attention on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
